30 Nov Opera House: Noel Nite + – American Impressionism on Sale!
Partisanship aside, we all should be thankful for one thing: Thanksgiving ( or the many variations on the theme in the Age of Corona) marks one down. But there are still two to go in the (very compromised) holiday trifecta. This year, Noel Nite, the official start of chapter 2 of the season, takes place in Telluride on Wednesday, December 2, 10 am- 4 pm.
In support of Telluride’s historic Sheridan Opera House, take 20 percent off 2020 Telluride Plein Air and Gallery paintings for the month of December! Sale continues on Thursday, December 3 and Friday, December 4.
A note from Maggie Stevens, marketing director, Sheridan Arts Foundation explains further.
Dear friends of the Sheridan Opera House,
Looking for a unique holiday gift that reminds your loved ones of Telluride? Look no further than the Sheridan Opera House. Our 2020 Telluride Plein Air and Gallery paintings are 20% off for the entire month of December!
These beautiful paintings were produced by our nationally renowned Telluride Plein Air artists both in their studio and also on-site here in Telluride. Some of the paintings are available to view HERE and in person at our SHOW Bar located on the first floor of the Opera House. There are close to 40 paintings available now.
Paintings can be purchased over the phone and shipped anywhere in the US, but purchaser is responsible for shipping costs. Forty percent of the purchase price goes to support our non-profit, the Sheridan Arts Foundation.
We kick off the sale with drop-in hours for this week:
Wednesday, December 2, Noel Night: 10 a.m-4 p.m.
Thursday, December 3: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Friday, December 4: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.After Friday, paintings can be viewed in person by appointment only. Please call Ronnie Palamar at 970.209.5083 to schedule a time to meet. Closer to Christmas, we plan to return to scheduled drop-in hours when you do not need an appointment. Stay tuned for that announcement.
You have most likely heard by now that San Miguel County has been put in Level Red: Severe Risk. Unfortunately, this level of restriction means the Sheridan Arts Foundation is not able to host any kind of programming in the building. We were about to announce two nights of Drew Emmitt of Leftover Salmon as well as ticket sales for Young People’s Theater productions of “Singin’ In The Rain” and “A Christmas Carol.” We will reschedule these events as soon as we return to Level Orange. At Level Orange, we can host 50-person seated concerts at which attendees are required to where masks and socially distance.
With December normally a critical fundraising month for the Sheridan Arts Foundation, and no guarantee of when restrictions will lift, Plein Air sales are the only way the Sheridan Arts Foundation is able to generate income.
Please consider purchasing a painting or making a donation HERE. All donations are tax deductible and go to support our general operations during this financially challenging time.
The Sheridan Arts Foundation and Opera House are taking part in GivingTuesday, a worldwide celebration of generosity, when people around the globe come together in unity, showing kindness and generosity in all its forms by giving their voice, time, money, goods, and advocacy to support communities and causes.
GivingTuesday is December 1, and a great time to make a donation through time, money, goods etc. to various causes in your community. Please consider the Sheridan Arts Foundation as one of these causes! Monetary donations can be made HERE.
Finally, I want to express our gratitude to each and every one of you as you have supported the Sheridan Arts Foundation over the years through donations, attending concerts, purchasing paintings, telling friends about our causes as a non-profit, sharing our stories on your social media, hosting your organization’s events here, choosing us as the location of your birthday party or wedding, insisting tourists or visiting friends take a look at the theater, and every other way you’ve shown your love.
Especially during this time of reflection over the holidays, the Sheridan Arts Foundation is thankful for you!
