Telluride Museum: July Updates

Telluride Museum: July Updates

The Telluride Historical Museum welcomed visitors back as of July 1st  –by appointment only.

Below is an update from the source.

Welcome to July!

Telluride’s Museum took the time over the past few months to do a complete revamp of the gift shop. With the help of Valerie Franzese, owner and operator of Black Bear Trading/Turquoise Door Gallery, we have overhauled our offerings and re-merchandised our small area. There is something for everyone!

As per the last announcement, we are open! We have implemented safety protocols and strict cleaning guidelines to keep everyone safe. Visitation is by appointment only Wednesday through Saturday, and right now, appointments can only be made by calling the Museum at 970-728-3344. We will evaluate as the summer goes along and make changes as necessary. Scroll to “Museum Information” at the bottom of this email for available times. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate through these changes.

Lastly, we are excited to announce a new tour program for the summer. We are increasing our Historical Walking Tours with Ashley Boling to two times a week! You can learn about Telluride’s characters, and historic places Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m. and Thursdays at 1:00 p.m.

The Museum is also adding a new weekly cemetery tour on Mondays at 11 a.m. Curious as to what living in Telluride and the United States was like during the 1918 influenza epidemic? On the new Lone Tree Cemetery tour you will learn about these topics, hear stories of loss, but also of hope and resilience.

The Telluride Museum is also partnering with the Sheridan Opera House to offer a brand new Redlight and Late Nights tour chronicling Telluride’s entertainment and “recreational” history.

For all visits and tours please call 970-728-3344 to make a reservation.
