Concert 5/30 Supports Musicians: Big Head Todd, Dave Matthews, Brandi Carlile, Sam Bush!

The following is a message from Telluride Arts in its ongoing campaign to use art to aid artists in the Age of Corona. One example is its support of a virtual concert on Saturday, May 30, dedicated to the Colorado Music Relief Fund. For more on the event go here.

The music industry has been hit hard by the cancellations of concerts, and the thought of summer in Telluride without music filling the air is beyond the pale. So, Telluride Arts is working on some creative solutions locally, including beefing up its Telluride Musician Directory to aid with small, local bookings. Please email Molly to add to the listing.

Plans in the works include installing stages throughout the Telluride community and paying musicians through Telluride’s new Augment Musician Fund and other generous sponsors in lieu of ticket sales. More on that soon.

Telluride Arts is not the only organization working on this initiative. On Saturday, May 30, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. MT, The Colorado Music Relief Fund (CMRF) will launch with a virtual event, presented by Breckenridge Brewery, “Banding Together: A Concert for the Colorado Music Relief Fund,” to generate much-needed relief funds to help all those in the Colorado music industry affected by COVID-19.

Enjoy musicians from around Colorado and across the nation, including Brandi Carlile, The Avett Brothers, Nathaniel Rateliff, The String Cheese Incident, The Lumineers and many others!
