Save the date. EcoAction Partners will be participating in the Community Climate Education & Action Initiative launch event on Thursday, February 27, 5:15 p.m., at Telluride’s Wilkinson Public Library.
The event will offer the broader community an opportunity to learn where we are as a region, what our regional climate goals are, and what resources are available to help accelerate progress towards those goals.
The meeting will feature a panel discussion with invited panelists including speakers from EcoAction Partners, San Miguel Power Association, Telski, Pinhead Institute, Carbon Neutral Coalition, as well as representatives from the local government, businesses, and festivals.

The Telluride community is invited to the launch of a new community climate education and action series – a collaborative effort that includes InnoVital, Tomten Farm, Wilkinson Public Library (WPL), EcoAction Partners, Carbon Neutral Coalition, Pinhead Institute, Sheep Mountain Alliance, Telluride Venture Accelerator, and other groups and concerned citizens.
The goal of the initiative is to provide engaging community education and offer opportunities for broader community action in support of regional climate goals.
Upcoming events include:
Launch Event on February 27, 5:15 p.m. at the Wilkinson Public Library to offer the broader community an opportunity learn where we’re at as a region, what our regional climate goals are, and what resources are available to help accelerate progress.
The event will feature a panel discussion, with invited presenters including representatives from EcoAction Partners, San Miguel Power Association (SMPA), Telski, Pinhead Institute, Carbon Neutral Coalition, local government, local business/festivals.
March 9: WPL hosting “How to Change the World,” a documentary and discussion with the author.
March 14: Pinhead/Smithsonian offering “Earth Optimism Teen Event.”
March 30, 5:15 p.m., Library: “Reversing Global Warming – Intro to Drawdown” workshop. (Madeline Allen & Alex Rudback/InnoVital facilitating)
April – May:
April 2, 4:30 p.m. the Sheridan Opera House: Telluride Venture Accelerator (TVA) showing a film in partnership with Sheep Mountain Alliance. The event is to showcase the businesses participating in the in the TVA Plastic Alternative Bootcamp.
Composting panel, workshop, and farm tours: Madeline & Alex (InnoVital) working with Kris/Tomten Farm
Possible collaborative tree-planting initiative: Madeline/(InnoVital/Rotary) working with Megan (USFS).

Week of May 18: WPL book discussion group, “Fate of Food” book.
