24 Jan Telluride to Support Australia Relief Effort; Ski to Help, 1/26!
The Telluride Ski Resort to support Australia’s relief efforts. Portion of skier visits on Australia’s National Day, 1/26/2020, to go to five different causes.
To support Australian relief efforts underway due to the devastating wildfires, Telluride will donate $1 from every skier visit on Australia’s National Day, Sunday January 26, 2020.
Donations will be made to the Country Fire Authority (CFA) in Victoria; NSW Rural Fire Service in New South Wales; Port Macquarie Koala Hospital; Zoos Victoria; and the Australian Red Cross.
“We have many guests who spend their ski vacation with us and so many long time employees from Australia. They are truly our Telluride family,” commented CEO Bill Jensen. “We are pleased that we can all come together to offer assistance now as they face this challenging time.”
In addition to the lift ticket donation on Australia Day, Telluride’s Ski School and Guest Services teams will be handing out tim tams, a uniquely Australian favorite cookie, to the first 500 skiers. Guest Services will be collecting cash donations for Wires, an Australian Wildlife Rescue organization.
