Cars & Colors founder Ray Cody, more:
Ray Cody’s interest in cars started like many other kids of his generation when, in 1968, he could buy a Hot Wheels model car for 59 cents. Young Ray would mow his elderly neighbors lawn then head over to the Ben Franklin’s 5 & Dime to buy Mattel’s newest car toy model.
Today Ray’s tastes have evolved: he and his wife Anita enjoy Ferraris and a collection of other unique automobiles. But, Ray still picks up a Hot Wheel every now and then to share the toy of his youth with his 12 grandchildren.
After coming to Telluride, first in 1998 and then again in 2004, to purchase investment properties in the region, Ray and Anita decided to launch the Telluride Festival of Cars & Colors in 2015. Now approaching its 5th year, Cars & Colors event has been rated as a Top 10 automotive event in America by USA Today and NAPA Auto Parts, as well as several online automotive websites.
