26 Jul TCH: Celebrate Your Neighbors & Support Affordable Housing
The nonprofit Trust for Community Housing (TCH) needs your support. Please donate here to help this work continue. Contact: Amy Levek, Executive Director, Amy@trustforcommunityhousing.org or call 970-708-7678. Come celebrate with TCH at a unique Homecoming party on Friday, August 2. The happening starts at 7 p.m. Please scroll down for details.
When was the last time you had a chance to celebrate why you live in Telluride? Hopefully, everyday, but that should not stop you from joining the Trust for Community House to celebrate Telluride at a unique Homecoming event.
Join the Trust for Community Housing, the Downlow, and Telluride Theatre for a raucous night of storytelling and a parade, capped off with a dance party at The Liberty. All a benefit in support of affordable housing.
The evening starts at 7 pm in Town Park for a Downlow around the theme of “This Must Be The Place.” No admission charge, but donations to the Trust for Community Housing for affordable housing would be appreciated.
Following the Downlow, join the parade, 8:30 p.m., as it wends its way to the Liberty. (Costumes are encouraged, but not required.)
The Telluride Gold Kings will kick off the Homecoming Dance, 9 p.m., with DJ Blakk Ceasar picking up the tunes around 10:30 p.m.. All free too. That said, whatever proceeds are donated go to TCH’s programs like its Housing Opportunity Fund, which provides help for your friends and neighbors in their efforts to secure housing through purchase or rental.
TCH, more:
The Trust for Community was established as a grass-roots nonprofit (501-c-3) organization to make sure our community remains strong and vital by increasing resources available for affordable housing.
TCH is the Telluride region’s only non-profit dedicated specifically to housing and is supported by a broad spectrum of full- and part-time residents who treasure what makes our shared home unique.
Mission: TCH preserves our community through increasing regional housing opportunities. Through collaboration with others, the non-profit Trust expands resources available for housing, helping to secure a diverse and vital community.
The nonprofit’s challenges are unique, but solutions abound. The organization is looking at programs throughout the country for potential models. It is tracking research and news, and networking with other communities and organizations. And TCH is looking closely with regional partners to craft results.
