Telluride’s Sheridan Arts Foundation presents “Mini Woodstock: Two Nights of Peace & Music,” tributes to Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin live at the Sheridan Opera House on Thursday, August 1 and Friday, August 2, 2019 at 9 p.m.
Tickets are $25 general admission standing on the floor; $35 reserved seats in the balcony both nights. Two-day passes for GA tickets are $40, saving customers $15. Through meticulous detailed re-productions in every aspect of look and sound in re-creating Jimi Hendrix’s most classic concerts and landmark stage show performances, “Kiss the Sky” is boldly presenting the world’s most historically accurate Jimi Hendrix tribute show ever. The band is fronted by virtuoso guitarist and former Columbia recording artist, Jimy Bleu, and backed by a cast of world-class touring musicians from the NYC metro area whose combined resumes are astonishing; recording and performing with major music stars such as: Pearl Jam, Aretha Franklin, LL Cool J, Teddy Pendergrass, James Cotton, John Mayall, Billy Joel, Lady Gaga, and more.
“Just Like Janis” features Cat Manning as the titular rockstar, bringing Joplin’s soulful vocals and energy to the stage.
