After 25 years, the Ah Haa School’s annual benefit art auction is as robust an event as ever, with attendees experiencing singing, dancing, hilarious film parodies, celebrity guests, live paintings, and the occasional (family-friendly) striptease.
The theme of 2019 happening is “Onward and Upward.” It is an opportunity for Ah Haa patrons to tip their hats towards the beloved Depot building as Ah Haa sets its sights on its new home in the center of town, Telluride’s cultural corner and core.
For this its final annual art auction at the Depot, again, Friday, July 19, Ah Haa is pulling out all the stops.
In addition to a vast array of silent auction items, the live auction, beginning at 7:30 p.m., offers up some splurge-worthy treats: a Fender Deluxe Strat guitar signed by Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant; the Skiers’ Delight package, including a stay at Red Mountain Alpine Lodge, guided ski days and a custom pair of Wagner Skis; and four highly coveted tickets to Lady Gaga’s final ENIGMA performance at the MGM Park in Las Vegas.
Attendees can also bid on a chance for 10 kids to have a sleepover party at the Depot (an incredible, unforgettable birthday party for art-lovers!) or bid to be the very first person to throw a party in Ah Haa’s new building.
