Tuesday at the Palm is presented by The Telluride Film Festival, Palm Arts and the Telluride R1 School District on Tuesday, May 14, 2:15 p.m. The show features Animates Shorts. Appropriate for the whole family! FREE TO ALL. Running time is about 74 minutes.
The Telluride Film Festival, Palm Arts and the Telluride School District are please to present the popular May Tuesday at the Palm presentation of Animated Shorts!, curated by the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival.
The delightful program includes the most current international animated gems including THE PIG ON THE HILL (U.S.A.), THE GRUFF-VOICED TREE (France/Belgium), AWAKER (Czech Republic), LAND WITHOUT EVIL (Hungary/Argentina), and many others.
The characters in these films are up for adventure and making friends. In one, a very particular pig needs to figure out just what his duck neighbor’s antics are all about. In another, a man looks to connect with his community in a fresh, new way. In a third, two brothers must understand tolerance and peace must prevail in order to become true rulers. In the last short, two air-born lemurs solve a dirigible dilemma. Will their friendship become something more?
“For 35 years, the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival has set new standards for what children’s festivals can achieve. As the largest and longest running children’s film program in North America, the Festival discovers the best in world cinema and continually raises the bar for quality children’s programming.”
All students and community members are invited to attend.
