Club Red: 2 Nights, 2 Shows – The Floozies & The Motet, 1/11 & 1/12

Named by Skiing Magazine as one of ski country’s best concert venues, Club Red brings a wide variety of crowd-pleasing entertainers to Mountain Village, Colorado. With the Telluride region serving as a hotbed for national touring acts, Club Red adds another layer as an intimate and family-friendly music venue where guests can get up close and personal with musicians. Over the winter season 2018-2019, Beyond The Groove is scheduled to present a wide variety of acts, ranging from rock to jazz, funk and soul.

Coming up next are back-to-back nights of music on January 11 and 12, 2019: The Floozies w/Maddie O’Neal and The Motet. Both shows begin at 8 p.m; doors at 7:30 p.m.

All shows will be open to all ages, with a variety of ticket options ranging from general admission to high-table seating to preferred platform seating and some VIP ticketed experiences. Tickets are available to purchase online at clubredtelluride.com and locally at Telluride Music, 333 West Colorado Ave.

The Floozies start the weekend on Friday, January 11. The duo is producer/guitarist Matt Hill and drummer Mark Hill, two brothers from Lawrence, KS. Together they bring a fresh approach to electronic music and live performance. Their combination of cutting-edge electronic production and party rocking funk energizes crowds and turns venues into epic dance parties.

Maddy O’Neal will open the show, marking the start of a new chapter in her life with the launch of her self-titled project Maddy O’Neal. Breaking free from the past and stepping out on her own for the first time in her music career, O’Neal is determined to become a female leader in the very diverse electronic genre. Her rock n’ roll family roots and growing appetite for old-school hip-hop give her a versatility that sets her apart from other artists in the scene.

Tickets start at $25 for general admission with preferred seating tickets available at $35 and $45.

On Saturday, January 12, Denver-based funk band The Motet return to Club Red. Fusing fiery funk, simmering soul and improvisational inventiveness, since 1998 the seven-piece group—Lyle Divinsky [vocals], Dave Watts [drums], Joey Porter [keyboards], Garrett Sayers [bass], Ryan Jalbert [guitar], Parris Fleming [trumpet], and Drew Sayers [saxophone]—have continually provided an escape for listeners over the course of seven full-length albums including their latest release Totem and with an upcoming 2019 release.

Tickets start at $30 for general admission with preferred seating tickets available at $40 and $50.
