It’s not exactly a crystal ball, but it is definitely a good surrogate, at least when it comes to weather. And, according to the Farmer’s Almanac: For the 2018-2019 season,“Winter temperatures and precipitation will be above normal, on average…”

And right on cue an early season snow arrived in the Telluride region with forecasters and calling for – and getting – more accumulation.

Thank you Ullr.

So now, on top of a base of more than 24 inches of natural snowfall across the upper mountain in the past eight days, Telluride’s snowmaking team has begun preparations for the upcoming season. The hardworking crew will be busy making snow across the resort as temperatures permit.

Upcoming season pass highlights include:

• Additional mountain access for full season passholders through Telluride’s pass alliance with Vail Resorts and the Epic PassTM.
