Telski: Announcing “The Pick,” Opens 8/31

The Telluride Ski Resort is pleased to announce the opening of The Pick, the newest addition to the lineup of casual dining options in Mountain Village. With an ideal location in Reflection Plaza, adjacent to The Madeline Hotel & Residences, the quick-service style restaurant is set to opens its doors on Friday, August 31, 2018.

Stephen Roth, TSG’s VP of Culinary Services announces “The Pick,” as his pick for casual breakfasts and lunches in Mountain Village.

The Pick, whose name was derived from Telluride’s mining history, will offer customized, hand-rolled, gourmet burritos and bowls for guests and adventurers looking for a hearty, delicious, quick breakfast or lunch.

Open 7:30am to 3pm daily, The Pick will have a “Build Your Own” menu of rotating items that highlight seasonal ingredients. With four-to-six protein options, two types of beans, rice and a multitude of toppings, these customized items will also offer gluten-free alternatives.

The unique centerpiece feature of The Pick is the wide variety of custom homemade sauces and salsas. Think unusual combos of flavors and textures like Local Honey Sambal Oelek, Orange Soy Crema, Kimchi Salsa, Local Sweet Corn and Peach Chutney, and Tequila-braised Black Olive Sauce.

“I’m very excited to finally unveil The Pick. It’s the culmination of a lot of hard work and different ideas. I’m thankful to everyone who helped make this new restaurant a reality,” said Stephen Roth, VP of Culinary Services at Telluride Ski Resort. “And anticipate our guests and the Mountain Village community at large will embrace our new venue for its creative breakfast and lunch options.”

As a resident of MV I want your new eatery “The Pick” to be successful. So I wanted to leave a couple of suggestions after my 1st visit. Please take these comment as constructive suggestions not a “complaint”
    1. Need to have water
    2. Tortilla was soggy. Should be slightly toasted not steamed
    3. Ingredient should be strained so the burrito is not soggy. It fell apart when I picked it up.
    4. Ingredients should be uniformly added to burrito. Each bite should contain a little of everything.
    5. Sauces should be on the table(hot, mild, etc)
