A new addition to THE OFF, Telluride Theatre’s program that provides smaller events with BIG impact, GAME SHOW NIGHT offers participants and audience a one-of-a-kind experience, different game shows throughout the year with a chance to play for prizes and watch game shows LIVE!
When asked about how the idea for GAME SHOW NIGHT came about, Geneva had this to say:
“We love to get rowdy and yell at each other while we play games, and we realized that most of us will never get to be on a game show. So, we created our own. Family Feud is one of our favorites. We also developed our own survey that features Telluride trivia and thought it would be a great new way to compete with our community. The Telluride Feud is just the first installment of the Game Show Night series, with another coming later in the summer, the physical challenge summer camp-style event “Best Day Ever.” We can’t wait to embrace our inner child. Desire to compete with the improved hand-eye coordination of adulthood. And booze.”
In the first Game Show Night, Telluride Theatre brings a whole new twist to the iconic game show… THE TELLURIDE FEUD. A night when eight teams face-off to crown the Grand Prize Winners. Booze, food, fun & PRIZES!
The Telluride Feud happens on Saturday, June 9, 8 p.m., a one-night-only, not to be missed event.
The night features eight teams competing for the Telluride Feud trophy and an incredible GRAND PRIZE : five tickets to Telluride Theatre’s Midsummer Night Gala on July 6; super duper schwag; and a VIP table for five to Telluride Theatre’s winter production of DUDE & BRO. (Over $1200 in value) Other prizes for 2nd and 3rd place too. As well as prizes for Best Family and Best Costume from the audience.
Again, teams pay to play; audience gets in FREE!
“Participating players are encouraged to get in the spirit by forming team families – with names, costumes… go all out for the game. Businesses can even sponsor a team & compete. We want the audience to come decked out in their best 70s gear or what they would wear to watch a game show on TV,” states Sasha Sulluvan, Telluride Theatre’s artistic director. “We will have a bar for full enjoyment as well as classic food you’d eat while watching TV. Its going to be such a fun night.”
