10 Mar Telluride Ski Resort: String Cheese Incident at Gorrono & More
The Telluride Ski Resort and The String Cheese Incident, in conjunction with Denise Mongan’s Beyond the Groove Productions, are hosting an intimate, ski-in/ski-out pop-up, one-hour performance at Gorrono Ranch. The event takes place Sunday, March 12, starting at 12:30 p.m.
In addition to the band’s two sold-out shows at Club Red, presented by Beyond the Groove, this performance will be free to the skiing and snowboarding public. There will be no non-ski access permitted.
Immediately after String Cheese performs, Cousin Curtiss takes the stage.
“Having The String Cheese Incident here for a two-night run brings them back to their roots, and adding this free show at Gorrono is a way for them to continue giving back to the community they love so much,” said Alex Brown, Events and Sponsorship Manager. “We’re thrilled that they want to perform at Telluride Ski Resort and think it will be an amazing weekend for everyone in town.”
Additionally, beginning on the 12th, the Telluride Ski Resort will be extending its lift operating hours for certain lifts with the start of Daylight Savings Time.
Polar Queen Express (Lift 5) will close at 4:00 p.m; Village Express will close at 4:30 p.m. The Chondola (Lift 1) and Gondola will close to skier access at 4:30 p.m. and will retain their normal operating hours for foot passenger access.
The String Cheese Incident shows kick off a number of events happening throughout the remainder of the season including the Resort’s upcoming Rail Jam on March 18, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe at Club Red on March 24, and the annual end of season Pond Skim at Gorrono Ranch on April 2. G. Love & Special Sauce will also be performing a free show in Mountain Village after the Pond Skim on the 2nd.
