I know most of you have a pretty good idea of what TASP does. For those who are not familiar, here’s a summary of what goes on in the program, winter and summer.
TASP works with local and regional school kids, as well as groups from the reservations south of us. We host groups of veterans, many of whom have a variety of difficulties such as PTSD, amputations, or traumatic brain injuries. We also serve families who come to Telluride to ski with a disabled family member. For many of our regional clients, subsidizing their lessons is necessary. Your support goes a long way in these efforts and is greatly appreciated.
Summer activities at TASP include hiking, biking, rock climbing, and river rafting. And skiing. In August, 2017, Telluride Adaptive Sports is conducting a 10-day ski trip in the Chilean Andes. Closer to home, Moab is the scene of TASP’s hand cycling camps in May and September.
So join us Friday evening, March 10, for food, music and camaraderie. Move to the sounds of the Anders Brothers. Bid on the great auction items, including a pair of Wagner Custom skis, vacation packages in Telluride, New York, and Dunton Hot Springs.
It’s going to be a wonderful evening with some wonderful friends.
I’ll be there.
How about you?
