A former part-time Telluride local decided she could not stay away. So Oprah is returning to Telluride to once again put down roots. Or some of her roots. And she is doing it in uniquely Oprah style, as described in this article by Candace Taylor in yesterday’s (12/16/15) Wall Street Journal. Seems the media mogul bought a little place to rest her bones while supervising construction of her new compound on 60 acres.

In a deal that closed last week, Ms. Winfrey bought a fully furnished, contemporary home in slope-side Mountain Village, according to people with knowledge of the transaction. According to the listing, the five-bedroom home sits on roughly 3.23 acres and measures about 8,700 square feet.
