Once upon a time, in America, Thanksgiving marked the beginning of the holiday season. Of course, that was long, long ago. Today, ghosts and goblins, witches and pumpkins, devils and angels, broomsticks and candlesticks put an end to summer and push us into a virtual land of Christmas commercials and TV ads. Images of a dashing, jolly Santa with a barn full of red and white Mercedes, Corona beaches with coco palms and Christmas lights, Black Fridays and everyone thinking about money, shopping and buying.

But, thankfully, we still have Thanksgiving in the middle, between Halloween and Christmas. It’s a time to take a deep breath and take note of where we are, where we’ve been and where we’re heading – inevitably toward Christmas and then, another New Year. But for now, we are here. Here on Earth, sharing the beauty and bounty, feeling gratitude and – if we are truly grateful – the miracle of grace.

Here’s to a happy, healthy, joyous Thanksgiving. Peace, love and starlight…

Aries (Mar. 20-Apr. 19) As the Sun moves from soul-centered Scorpio into spiritually oriented Sagittarius, you may notice a major shift from doubt and darkness to hope and optimism. Cancer (June 20-July 22) The Scorpio New Moon cycle comes to fruition on Nov. 25^th in the Gemini-Sagittarius polarity and illuminates the power of faith in face of fear. Negative thinking breeds resentment and doubt while positive thoughts generate gratitude and grace. It’s the perfect time to test the waters and experience the results. Let others wallow in the mud while you are free to take the high road. Follow the light.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 22) A fire and air Sagittarius-Gemini full Moon excites the spirit and ignites the heart. Welcome to a month of increasing optimism, good luck and love. With both sweet Venus and passionate Mars in Libra, you may find yourself thinking about and actually pursuing romantic partners, calling upon former lovers or simply infusing existing relationships with good feelings and vibrations. Virgo (Aug. 22-Sep. 22) Self-reliance and self-nurturing continue as themes as you remain simultaneously active and happy in partnership.
