09 Sep Friends of Library Book Sale This Weekend
What else happens over Telluride Blues & Brews weekend? Besides great music and brews that is.
The other big event is something truly exotic (and stimulating) – curling up in a comfortable chair with a good book, courtesy of the Friends of the Library, whose annual book sale takes place Friday, September 18 – Saturday, September 19.
“We have so many great donations & library discards this year that we’re setting up under the tent on the east terrace (fiction) in addition to the Program Room (nonfiction). We’ll have lots of books for kids, also books in Spanish, audio books, music CDs & DVDs, all at the best prices this side of the Free Box,” says FOL president Nancy Landau.
Nancy recommends getting a jump on the action by rejoining FOL at the sale (or pre-sale).
New this year: Red Bag Sale. During the last two hours on Saturday (4-6 p.m.), while FOL is breaking down the sale on Sunday, buy a red “Came to Ski, Stayed for the Library” bag for $1 and fill it with books for $9.
