We cross the bridge from August to September this week, moving ever closer to Autumn Equinox and summer’s end. Meanwhile, a big and bright “super” full Moon comes to fruition on August 29^th at 06°06’ Virgo-Pisces, calling us to balance our physical and spiritual worlds in a dance of the visible and invisible.

As human beings, we live a material-ethereal life. We have in-body and out-of-body experiences. We instinctively seek out food, shelter and earthly pleasures, use our senses to perceive, navigate and intuit the road ahead, utilize our brains to analyze, assess and interpret the conditions and circumstances of our relationships and environments, make choices and decisions, and then, after all of this, we crave the numinous and divine.

Virgo, a sensible, practical earth sign ruled by fast-moving planet Mercury – the messenger of the gods – and asteroid Chiron – the wounded healer, finds comfort and meaning on the material earth plane and strives to improve and heal the world via work, service and daily practice.

Pisces, the opposite polarity and balance to Virgo, is a dreamy, idealistic water-sign ruled by all-is-one Neptune, god of the sea. Pisces surrenders the ego to spirit, dissolves limitations and boundaries, intuitively understands separation as an illusion, inherently loses its once individual, well-defined shape and form and merges into One. The universal, cosmic soul.

This weekend’s full super-Moon in the Virgo-Pisces polarity opens mystical, magical, metaphysical doors of perception, expanding our view of reality, and consequently, what is possible. Our five senses perceive less than 5% of the Universe, so only a tiny fraction of what is out there makes it through the filters of our programming, education and condition. We are limited by our definition and perception of reality. And yet, we consistently attempt to discern, dissect and define

So, here we are, standing on the precipice of a mysterious new world, a Universe of unlimited potential and possibility. Stars sparkle, shadows dance and moonlight shimmers. Everything is as it should be. Shall we let go of fear, trust faith and open the door?

Aries (Mar. 20-Apr. 19) Mental Mercury enters diplomatic Libra this week and reminds you that it’s better to be sweet than sour when it comes to others. Toxic words generate toxic emotions and it’s a potion of poison that’s better off left on the shelf. But that doesn’t mean you aren’t supposed to express your feelings. Do it in a calm, honest way that promotes self-respect and dignity. We teach other people how to treat us, after all.

Taurus (Apr. 19-May 20) Venus retrograde in Leo, your solar 4^th house of home and family, may have you returning to a childhood place or space, literally or metaphorically. Whatever the manifestation, know you are reviewing and reliving important family of origin issues. Money, love and value systems are themes, most likely being played out with partners and mates. Focus on balanced thoughts and discussions. Follow your heart.

Gemini (May 20-June 20) Home and family life continues as the top focus and priority now. Parental roles and issues, family-of-origin relationships and concerns, as well as understanding your own personal self and emotions in light of it all keeps you busy and working. This is a fabulous time and upcoming year to feel and heal wounds that may have generated in childhood. Self-love and compassion are allies in the quest of freedom.

Cancer (June 20-July 22) A powerful blend of Leo-Virgo energy permeates the cosmos this week as the Sun and Jupiter champion service and humility while Venus and Mars join force in a showy display of self-will, pomp and circumstance. Chances are, you’ll be personally involved and ultimately responsible for the words you speak and the actions you take. Good news is you have the gift of free will. Just make good, conscious choices.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 22) A passionate Venus-Mars conjunction in Leo roars with lion-hearted courage and will just days before the Sun and Jupiter join force in modest, meticulous Virgo. And here you are, smack dab in the middle of it all. Calm down and enjoy the show, move off the hot seat and let others dance ‘til dawn. Think you can resist the urge to engage? Yes or no, focus on balance and moderation, recovery, rest and relaxation.

Virgo (Aug. 22-Sep. 22) You may experience your day in the sun or a happy highlight of illumination and spiritual grace as giant Jupiter and our central star shine down upon your holy, holistic path of self-recovery and self-improvement. Others see you as one who has done the work as well as the time, come out on the other side more competent, compassionate and capable. Humility is a golden key to strength, keep the key.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 22) The good energy surrounding you now is a preview of what shimmers before you in the year to come. Jupiter in your solar 12^th house of soul and spirit beckons expansion and growth in the mysterious, metaphysical realms of the numinous and divine. Scorpio (Oct. 22-Nov. 21) The golden road of discovery and enlightenment, a path to your hopes and dreams, awaits those willing to explore and travel it. Capricorn (Dec. 20-Jan. 19) The Moon in Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn the same day Venus and Mars join force in Leo and Neptune in Pisces opposes the Moon. This translates as a rather powerful week regarding intimate relationships and issues of surrender or control. A loved one or partner may exhibit passionate behavior that upsets or challenges you emotionally. Tap into soul and spirit. Take the high road and trust your angels.

Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) Sweet Venus is retrograde and mighty Mars in marching forward, both in Leo. This week they meet, going in opposite directions, on the courageous road of lion-hearted love and spirit.
