PalmKidz presents family-friendly entertainment. Award winning talent arrives for July summer fun. Tickets $5/person at the door only.
Summer, for children and children at heart, is a time to dream, giggle, imagine, and explore. Perfectly aligned with such activities is the PalmKidz Summer Series. Launched in 2014, the series brings family friendly talent to the theatre on select Friday afternoons – and the price of admission is family-friendly as well, with tickets running just $5 for general admission.
For the month of July, PalmKids features two top-notch performers, both extremely accomplished at awakening kids’ artistic curiosity and engaging family audiences in the pure joy of creative, inspiring, and interactive entertainment.
JUNO Award-winner, Norman Foote, will be at the Palm on Friday, July 17, 4 p.m.
Drawing from his own experiences, Norman creates songs and stories that entertain regardless of age. He weaves imaginative wordplay with great melodies all to great effect. His concert is a highly engaging experience featuring “Foote” classics and songs from his JUNO Award-Winning album Love My New Shirt. The audience will also be treated to tunes from his 2013 release, Always Be Yourself, and appearances from his many live action props/puppets. In the U.S., Norman’s music has received Parent Choice & Nappa Gold Awards and in Canada, he won Socan’s Best Children’s Songwriter, as well as West Coast Music Awards.
Ann Lincoln, a PalmKidz 2014 summer entertainer, returns to the Palm on Friday, July 24 at 4 p.m., to once again engage kids with contemporary standup comedy, expert juggling, circus skills, and magic involving birds, bunnies and audience members. The show might even include Ann juggling two bowling balls while eating an apple! Ann’s unique act engages all of the senses. The audience smells the fire being eaten, feels the weight of bowling balls being juggled, and hears the coo of her magical dove. This will truly be a show show for all ages!
