27 Mar TEDxTellurideLive Takes Brand Global
The fourth annual TEDxTellurideLive simulcast the world-famous TED Conference at the Michael D. Palm Theatre on St. Patrick’s Day, Tuesday, March 17. The theme of this year’s conference was “Truth and Dare.”And here’s the truth.
Telluride scored.
“We are still on a high from listening to the spectacular speakers at TEDxTellurideLive,” said Amy Cook, registrar. “It is our hope you enjoyed your experience as much as we did. We are particularly pleased that TED chose to showcase our TEDxTellurideLive photo for the first time on the big stage.”
And here is a clip of TED emcee Chris Anderson showing Telluride’s photo from the main TED stage in Vancouver BC.
In another first, Chris Anderson asked for comments from viewers around the world (TEDx locations and others who were watching the Vancouver TED Conference simulcast live) to submit an answer to the question, “Are we in danger of creating a future we will hate?”
“Later that same day, Chris read a few submitted comments from what were probably hundreds of submissions.,” continued Amy. “We are proud to say Telluride resident Brad Mosell’s eloquent comment was read by Chris. Way to go Brad! Brad has lived in Telluride for over one year. He has a degree in Political Science and Government from the University of California, Berkeley. During the day he is building a start-up called Common Scents LLC, and at night you’ll find him waiting tables at 221 S. Oak.”
Thanks in advance to event producers Bill and Katrine Formby, the 2016 date for TEDxTellurideLive is February 16, 2016.
“Please mark your calendars. We hope you’ll join us next year to hear another mind-blowing group of speakers. Registration will open in January 2016. Thank you again for participating in TEDxTellurideLive. We look forward to seeing you next February,” concludes Amy.
