Since Monday, July 14, the Sheridan Arts Foundation’s Young People’s Theater has been hosting its 4th annual Summer Theater Spectacular. The non-competitive theater workshop and day camp features child-centered theatrical adventure that focuses on skill and confidence building, teamwork, creative empowerment and innovative thinking.
Join this year’s amazing team of instructors: drama teachers Ashley Deppen and Nancy Scarborough; music director Bob Israel; choreographer Jessica Galbo; games director Maggie Stevens; and artistic director Jennifer Julia.
In addition to creating a comedic, musical version of “Hansel & Gretel,” students are working in small groups to create their own original skits that will also be performed the final day of play.
The last performance will be free and open to the public at the Sheridan Opera House at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 18.
