June 12 to 19, 2014 Visible Planets: Morning: Venus Evening: Mars, Jupiter, Saturn
I have to admit, in true-to-form, classic Gemini style, this zodiac month has been busy! Attempting to keep things in order and pay attention to what I need to pay attention to – priorities and focus – has kept me totally active – body, mind and spirit. Sacrificing fun for work as a general rule, resisting the desire to jump on my motorcycle and throw caution to the wind – which is a typically Gemini thing to do – in spite of the rumbling Harleys and hot rods that periodically roll down the country highway bordering our ranch, has been my modus operandi.I have accomplished much, and still have plenty to do. Job security, I often say. The final days of springtime are always full. Tilling the earth and preparing the soil, followed by planting, transplanting, mulching watering, mowing, weeding and so on. Life on the farm. I’m amazed at the pleasure I feel when tiny seeds turn into sprouts, then seedlings and, eventually, healthy plants. So simple and yet, serenely profound. Primal acts of survival that manifest beneficial results do in turn reap deep satisfaction. It’s an equation of action and consequence – the territory of Taurus the Bull – and until Taurus rolls into Gemini in late May, we are characteristically patient and steadfast. Willing to work and wait.
And then, along come the curious, versatile Twins. The multi-faceted, multi-dimensional Multi-Verse of metaphysical magic and exponential possibility and potential presents itself. (As opposed to the relative calm of the old school – Taurus and Isaac Newton’s – mechanical Uni-verse.) Suddenly, there is a plethora of things to do, places to go and ideas to consider. The pace quickens and we can no longer sit still. And away we go…This week, we find ourselves on the heels of a very dynamic Gemini/Sagittarius full Moon. As we move through the final days of spring, we can see and feel summer solstice glimmering upon our seasonal horizon. Things are moving fast. And with that said, it’s time to slow down. Full Moons illuminate what we can and cannot see. Not only do they fill the nights with silvery light, allowing us to find our way through the forest, but they also shine light into our hearts and souls. As above, so below – the ancient Hermetic dictum – rings true each and every full Moon lunation of the year. Finding a balance between the two is the most important piece of the puzzle, and really not that difficult to do. Seeing the bigger picture helps tremendously. Cancer (June 21-July 22) As the last full Moon of springtime shimmers its silvery beams upon your heart and home, take a deep breath and count your blessings. Angels and spirits surround you now, as the sizzle of summer and your annual solar rebirth grows near. Generous joker Jupiter has been playing tricks upon faith, testing your goodness. Focus on beauty and bounty. Count your blessings.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22)
Mars now direct in Libra helps the Lion let go of those fixed opinions and learned behaviors that may no longer serve you and/or others well. Seeing the opposite side of the coin or opening to the perspective of another vantage point is extremely beneficial and enlightening now. Also open to inspiration via friendship and camaraderie.
