10 Mar San Juan Mountains Weather: Some Snow for Northwest Slopes?
Today the San Juans will see warm temps, sunny skies with increasing cloudiness and SW winds later in the day. A fast moving Pacific disturbance/cold front dropping into our area from the NW will push into the San Juans late tonight through Tuesday evening favoring NW terrain. We could see 2-4″and possibly a little more above TL.
Models show a trough split on Tuesday, retrograding back to the west then moving into the southwest late Wednesday/early Thursday as a closed low. It could bring more snow favoring our mountains, but models should have a new story by then.
