05 Mar San Juan Mountains Weather: New System Brings Possibility of Snow
Warming temperatures and sunshine today through most of Thursday then increasing high cloudiness & windy tomorrow. The next system from the NW will enter western Colorado on shifting southwest winds late Thursday evening/early Friday morning bringing 4-8″ of snow favoring W aspects above TL (possibly more at higher elevations) & will continue into Friday evening.
A secondary system, a possible closed low forming over Arizona/New Mexico could bring light snow to the south San Juans on Saturday as the north side of the range clears out.
