14 Mar San Juan Mountains Weather: A Few More Inches for the Late Season?
Two storms on tap for the San Juans today and tomorrow. Last night and currently the southern San Juans have a closed low moving east from Arizona through New Mexico producing snow showers through tonight. Expect 1-3″. The second storm, a low moving SE from the Pacific northwest will merge with the southern low late tonight/early Saturday. This system has jet support but little moisture so expecting 2-5″ on the high end favoring NW terrain above 11,000′.
High pressure moves in on north flow as the two system drift east by Sunday through early Monday then another trough of low pressure rolls in late Monday.
