22 Mar Pastor Pat Bailey: Insights, Our Sacred Writings
Our adult spiritual ed class has been discussing Reza Aslan’s book “Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth.” Her words not only raises questions about the historical context of Jesus of Nazareth, they also point to the distinction between the Jesus of historical context and the Christ of the New Testament Gospels. Does taking a historical perspective of Jesus strip the Gospels of meaning or allow their deeper meanings to emerge? Join the discussion by viewing my sermon, Our Sacred Writings.
