Here’s a post from Lisa, from Retro Housewife Goes Green, and her suggestions for an Eco-Friendly Thanksgiving:
Thanksgiving will be here before we know it so I have put together some ideas and links to blog posts to help you prepare for an eco-friendly Thanksgiving.
Having a Thanksgiving party? Check out the great recycled invitations from Paper Culture. They have several different options to choose from and they are shipped quickly so there is still time to order.
You can also check out my list of Thanksgiving planner printables to help you stay organized this Thanksgiving.
For several great Thanksgiving tips check out this Top Ten “Green” Thanksgiving Tips list from Big Green Purse. I really like her tip about sending leftovers home with guests to be sure no food is wasted.
Turning Back the Clock has a very interesting post about heritage turkeys and why you should have one this year. It will really help you understand why they are worth the extra money.
The Greening of Westford has even more great tips for having a green Thanksgiving. I love that these are tips she uses and that work for her family, no hard to implement tips on this list!
The Greening of Westford also has some great ideas for how to use up those leftovers. I really love the idea of using turkey in a croque monsieur.
