ALACAZEM 2013.11.14

November 14 to 21, 2013    Visible Planets: Morning: Mars, Jupiter    Evening: Venus

CelestArriv As the last “eclipse window” of 2013 slowly closes, I am filled with the deep, powerful emotion and down-to-earth acceptance that only a Scorpio/Taurus eclipse cycle can bring. I am reminded that feelings engender awakening and growth. When we are moved by something or someone, our hearts open. We feel a shift, a change of heart. We float upon starry clouds, fly on magic carpets and touch the world of spirit.

lady & dragonLife delivers pain and sorrow, joy and laughter. And as the Buddha so elouquently reminds us in his teachings, life is suffering. And it is also bliss, nirvana. We may seek the mythical kingdom of Shambahla, a hidden, secret, sacred place of peace, tranquility and happiness, high in the mountains of Tibet, or set sail in quest of treasure on high and rolling seas. We travel our roads, share our journeys and in the end, return to the Source. Like Dorothy and Toto’s trip on the yellow brick road from Kansas to Oz and back again, we eventually all come home.

The solar eclipse New Moon of November 3rd @ 11º16’ Scorpio comes to fruition on November 17th at 8:16 am MST in the exact Sun/Moon opposition aspect of a full Moon @ 25º26’ Scorpio/Taurus. This celestial event closes the window on the 2013 eclipse cycle, and it’s time, once again, to make peace with our experiences, accept our challenges and walk in the light of truth.

Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19) Voluptuous Venus plays an active role in your week, with powerful aspects to both the Moon and Uranus in Aries, Pluto in Capricorn and Neptune in Pisces. All this translates as a few rock and roll days of physical change and emotional challenge, followed by an experience of deep soul transformation and ultimate spiritual enlightenment. Good luck!

Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20) The year’s last solar eclipse lunar cycle comes to fruition on Nov. 17th in a Taurus full Moon, illuminating themes of relationship regarding birth and death, holding on to and letting go. As the most practical, earth-centered, materially aware sign of the zodiac, you love equations of action and consequence, give and take. Remain open to x-factors. Things can change.

Gemini (May 21-June 21) Bringing light to darkness is and has been the resonating Taurus/Scorpio full Moon theme this week and zodiac month. What lies hidden beneath superficial facades and self-destructive behaviors is now emerging amidst the smoke and mirrors of denial and dysfunction. Scorpio teaches us to face fears and surrender attachments. Taurus says, “Be realistic.” Do both.

Cancer (June 21-July 22) With the Sun, Mercury, North Node and Saturn all in fellow water-sign Scorpio as the Moon grows full, you may discover a variety of ways to use the lights of love and beauty to help and heal your own and other’s broken hearts and dreams. Life is short, so why not enjoy and embrace the magical, mystical journey as it comes and goes? Be the love and beauty.

Leo (July 23-Aug.22) All full Moons bring light to darkness, and this one is even more so, as it spotlights Scorpio – the sign most concerned with what lies hidden – those taboo and secret rivers running below the radar of our awareness. And for the Lion, who thrives in sunshine, dark devils and demons are scary. No worries, you are a brave, courageous warrior. Embrace the light.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22) This week’s Scorpio/Taurus full Moon challenges the Virgin to let go of the comfortable and familiar patterns that keep you stuck, showing you exactly what needs to be let go. Taurus encourages stability and security, but Scorpio pressures you to bank on Spirit. Material possessions are transitory and money cannot buy happiness. Develop talents and self-esteem.

Libra (Sep. 23-Oct. 22) Venus in Capricorn and Ceres in Libra summon the intuitive, nurturing power of the feminine to lead the way now. Meanwhile, powerful planetary alignments to your beautiful, benefic ruler invoke the energies of evolution and revolution to redefine the rules of partnership. Cooperation, ingenuity and integrity are allies in battle for peace. Simply do your best.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) We are here on Earth, riding the tides of evolution as spiritual warriors – bodhisattvas – in our physical, human forms. Of all the signs, Scorpios are the most adept at understanding the interface between light and dark, faith and fear, pleasure and pain. In the sea of dichotomy and polarity, balance is your ship of gold. Full moonlight illuminates a path of honesty, integrity, truth, emotional sobriety and heartfelt compassion. Lead the way.

Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20) The recent end to a three-week Mercury retrograde comes with a big sigh of relief and an attitude of gratitude as you see the forest for the trees and the meaning behind the madness. Perfection is an elusive, illusionary muse, one to abandon if you desire peace and happiness in any way, shape or form. Rather than criticize and critique, accept and be thankful.

Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19) Telling squares by love-and-beauty planet Venus to both the Moon and revolutionary Uranus, followed by a conjunction to Pluto, set the stage for a week of metamorphic awakening, awareness and change regarding relationships and personal self. Open your heart and embrace what comes. Direct your attention to Spirit, see its goodness and cultivate faith.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18) These times are rife with chaos, awakening and change. As we open our eyes and see the truth, we are often disturbed and disheartened. The good news is that we can see, intuit and process. We can take the time and effort to do the inner work to invoke personal adjustment and right action. As a pre-eminent co-creator of the Aquarian Age, take charge and go forth.

Pisces (Feb. 19-Mar. 20) This week, a variety of aspects involving Venus – including an uplifting sextile to ruler Neptune – plus the direct station of Chiron in Pisces, encourages self-sufficient, practical approaches and solutions to long-standing relationship concerns and issues. An emotionally detached, but highly compassionate attitude toward others is favored now. Take action.
