Telluride’s Art + Architecture Weekend is a unique opportunity to explore the distinct art, design, and culinary treasures of Telluride. For three days, artists, chefs, and architects open their doors and offer you an insider’s glimpse into the Telluride Creative District’s greatest creative minds. Each day offers a new intersection of disciplines, offering unique pairings of art, wine, food, and design. The weekend features fine art brought to life with live music, wine and cocktails paired with culinary innovations, and world-class architecture filled with surprise installations and performance, all within the heart of Telluride. It all kicks off Wednesday night with a free event, showcasing the what’s in store in a lively arts celebration. KICK OFF PARTY: WEDNESDAY, JULY 17, 8-11. FREE ADMISSION
The Kick-off party launches the weekend with a lively celebration of the arts at Fly Me to the Moon Saloon. Look for an overview of the tours, edgy performances by Colin Sullivan and Joshua Landis, a fashion show curated by Danielle DeRoberts and featuring work by Onerary, Jenn Dewey and Chemicals by Sasha, art by Zachary Sands and Britt Markey, music by DJ Ryan, free signature drinks and tastings by Ben Knaus and Andrew Tyler of There Bar, and a special Twenty(by)Telluride presentation. The event is hosted by Fly Me to the Moon Saloon and sponsored by there bar and Southern Wine and Spirits. Plan to stay late and dance at the Moon with DJ Ryan.
STUDIO TOUR: FRIDAY, JULY 19, 12-4 p.m.
The Studio Tour on Friday provides a behind-the-scenes look into the creative work spaces of our artists, architects and designers. Seven architecture, design and fine art studios will be open. Studios will host working artists who will provide artist talks and demonstrations, and food and wine pairings featuring tastings by local chefs.
CULINARY TOUR: SATURDAY, JULY 20, 11-3 p.m.
The Culinary Tour on Saturday will feature five select restaurants that offer food tastings paired with wines showcased by select wineries. Chefs will be on hand with demonstrations and innovative tastings. Restaurants will host musicians, dancers and visual artists that will offer performances and presentations throughout the day.
HOME TOUR: SUNDAY, JULY 21, 12-4 p.m.
The Home Tour on Sunday offers exploration of five exquisite private homes that feature exciting local architecture and design happening within the Town of Telluride. Architects will host artists, chefs, and musicians to provide special events and tastings at each home.
THE AUDIENCE CHOICE PRIZE
All attendees will have the opportunity to vote on the best art experience. All chefs, architects, designers, and artists will be eligible for the prize. The winning artist (or team) will receive $5000 and be featured in a Luxe Magazine ad. Second place will be $500 and third place $250.
CLOSING PARTY + PRIZE AWARD, SUNDAY JULY 21 4-6 p.m., Telluride Gallery of Fine Art
Finish off a great weekend and connect one last time with participating artists, architects, designers and chefs at the Telluride Gallery for a closing party. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served. The Audience Choice Artist’s Prize will be announced. Enjoy a first look at a variety of original vintage serigraphs, lithographs, and etchings from the collection of Will Thompson, owner of Telluride Gallery of Fine Art. Never framed or shown before, these unique prints will be offered at “vintage” prices, and Art + Architecture attendees will have first dibs.
(BONUS: Join Telluride Theatre for Shakespeare in the Park at 7 p.m.)
HOW TO ATTEND
The studio, culinary + home tours require a membership to Telluride Arts, available NOW at www.telluridearts.org. Members will vote for the audience choice prize which will award $5000 to the best artistic experience. Members will receive wristbands and a swag bag with a schedule for the weekend and a map, with a full color booklet with information about each participant. At the Gold Level, members will receive bonus tickets to Shakespeare in the Park and two days of Ah Haa Auction events!

Copper: JUST CULINARY TOUR, Saturday, July 20, 12-4 p.m., $50:
The Culinary Tour on Saturday brings you into a few select restaurants for special food and wine tastings prepared by chefs. Chefs will be on hand with demonstrations and some will offer a rare a peek into their kitchens. In addition, you will find musicians, actors, poets and visual artists hosted in each restaurant.
Steel: JUST HOME TOUR: Sunday July 21, 11-4 p.m. (PLUS 10 am Historic Architecture Walking Tour), $40:
The Home Tour on Sunday offers exploration of some of the private homes and gardens that feature exciting local architecture and design happening right here in Telluride. Look for more collaboration between local artists, chefs and musicians at each home.
