Inaugural Telluride Homecoming Festival Town Park, Saturday, July 20, 5 p.m.-9 p.m.
The newly created Telluride Homecoming Festival is an all-community “Big Tent Gathering” organized by Telluride Rotary. The main event takes place in the Town Park Oval Saturday, July 20, 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Telluride Homecoming Festival welcomes anyone who calls Telluride home ( or former home), as well as visitors who fell in love with Telluride and have memories to share. Anyone who has ever lived in Telluride, worked in Telluride, or just loved being in Telluride is welcome to come see old friends and make new friends.
KOTO’s DJs will be on hand to provide a compilation of all genres of music from the 1940s to contemporary, familiar for every generation. Telluride Elks plans to sell picnic-style food; Rotary will be there to sell beer, wine and mixed drinks throughout the evening. All attendees will receive a free souvenir mug.
VIPʼs planning to attend include Gary Bennett, former mining engineer, as well as Johnnie Stevens and Senior Mahoney.
Funds from Telluride Homecoming Festival will go to support the Telluride Rotary Foundation, which contributes to local scholarships, youth exchange, community projects, and international projects.
The Telluride Homecoming Festival spans the entire weekend, encouraging people to partake in various activities, such as 4 x 4 jeep tours, Ah Haa Art Auction, Telluride Arts’ Art & Architecture Weekend, school tours, museum tours, and historic home tours. Many local businesses,hotels to glider rides, plan to offer discounts to participants.
