09 Jul EcoAction Partners: Walk the Talk
Empowerment – Education – Action
Ever wondered about how to reduce your impact on the planet, but didn’t know how to make that happen? Would you like to be more involved with local sustainability initiatives? Learn to “Walk the Talk” and take action to reduce your carbon footprint this summer with EcoAction Partners.
Through our series of four workshops taking place in July and August, you’ll learn to grow your own veggies and herbs, compost food waste, fix a bicycle, and retrofit your home. Those activities will engage you with locals who “walk the talk” every day and want to share their wealth of knowledge. By the end of the workshops you will be empowered to make a big difference by reducing your carbon footprint through small lifestyle changes..
After every workshop, we will pose a specific challenge relating to your new skills to take home and implement in the weeks following. EcoAction Partners and our workshop leaders will help get you started and we’ll keep tabs on your progress so that you can really “own” what you learned and can incorporate that new knowledge into your daily life.
To cover the materials used in the program, each participant pays a $30 fee when he signs up. The workshop schedule is outlined below. Email programs@ecoactionpartners.org to sign up!
