27 May SHERIDAN OPERA HOUSE: 2013 SUMMER SCHEDULE
Live music, arts and children’s programming at the Sheridan Opera House
The Sheridan Arts Foundation, the non-profit organization that owns and operates Telluride’s Sheridan Opera House, is excited to announce its summer 2013 schedule. June through August, there’s something for everyone with free concerts, magic shows, Country Western shows, comedy, and more.
“We tried really hard to offer the community diverse programming this summer,” said Ronnie Palamar, the SAF’s director of programming. “It’s going to be a fun, busy schedule!”
This summer also marks the 100th anniversary of the Sheridan Opera House. The SAF plans to celebrate the milestone with a Speakeasy Gala, a 1920s-themed, black-tie affair featuring the Cab Calloway Orchestra, a legacy auction, and Prohibition-themed drink specials.
“We are very excited about the Gala,” Palamar said. “We will have 10 auction items, representing each decade of the Opera House, and plan to transform the Sheridan Opera House back to its early days.”
The Sheridan Arts Foundation produces a number of its own events, but also rents out the Sheridan Opera House to festivals, non-profits and others throughout the summer. For a complete schedule of rentals please visit SheridanOperaHouse.com.
