Vern Petri was born in Italy. Grew up (mostly) in America and became a super lawyer excelling in pharmaceutical and medical litigation. Petri, who claims never to have stopped being that little boy from Lucca, also studied culinary arts to became a high level amateur chef, now cookbook author, with a part-time residence in Telluride.
