TELLURIDE FOUNDATION: 1ST EXEC. DIRECTOR BREAKFAST 2013

Telluride Foundation logoThe Telluride Foundation hosts its first Executive Director Breakfast for 2013. The meeting takes place Monday, January 28, 8:30 a.m. – 9:45 a.m, in the Telluride Room (upstairs meeting room at the Wilkinson Public Library. ) The featured speaker at the event is Stuart Halpern, owner of Nonprofit Technical Assistance Center Inc. based in Denver.

Hlalpen leads a discussion on the subject of sustainability and specifically what the concept means to nonprofits.

Sustainability, a new nonprofit buzzword, is subject to a continuum of interpretation.  Each nonprofit may  have a different idea of what sustainability is all about. Our objective is not to come up with one right definition. The goal is to look at our respective agencies and determine the best manner to operate them in a sustainable manner and define what that might mean.

Halpern has lived and worked in Colorado for 35 years. He owns a small practice that works with a diverse group of nonprofit clients in a variety of areas, including tax compliance (990 preparation), 501C3 formation, cost modeling, cash flow analysis and other related areas of strategic thinking and positioning.
