SaddleUp! Foundation is heading full gallop for their second annual fundraiser, The Denver Suitcase Party. The event takes place Friday, August 17.  Last year’s bash was a hoot with guests bringing their bags packed on the chance they would win the Grand Prize and be immediately whisked away on a private jet for a weekend in the 5-star accommodations at the Trinchero Winery in Napa Valley.

The party is held in a private hanger at Mayo Aviation, Centennial Airport, where the 6:00 p.m. arrivals walk the red carpet into an evening of cocktails, dancing and food samplings from some of Denver’s finest restaurants and caterers. Country music singer Jessie James provides the entertainment and plenty of reason to scoot a boot or shake your booty…  Could a Denver Bronco Erik Decker sighting be in store? Ms. James is his fiancée, after all. 9 News anchor, Cheryl Preheim and Jonathan Wilde of 92.5 The Wolf’s “Jonathan and Mudflap Mornings” are scheduled to be on hand to keep the party movin’ and groovin.’

During the live auction, party guests can bid on vacation destinations provided by Inspirato Luxury Destination Club. Minimum bid is $6000 with 100% of the proceeds from the first vaycay going to SaddleUp! Foundation, and $3000 for every subsequent getaway sold. How’s that for feeling good about yourself whilst whiling away your days and nights in paradise?

Somewhere around 8:00, the Westwind II jet, donated by Chuck Latham Associates, revs up its engines as the live auction and raffle begin. There are two ways to enter for your chance to experience the Napa Valley on a high note: purchase a raffle ticket for $25 (5 for $100), or be the highest bidder in the live auction. Either way, you and a guest could be on your way to a great adventure!

I attended the inaugural event, an evening worthy of a big Yee-Haw! The energy was brisk; the excitement, palpable.
