THE EXTREME STUNT DOGS

THE EXTREME STUNT DOGS

Telluride has its own collection of performers and tricksters. But coming to town this Thursday, March 22nd is something a little different: Stunt Dogs. The Extreme Stunt Dog Performance features a cast of fabulous dogs who fly, leap, jump rope, you name it. They even have choreographed dance moves.

The Extreme Stunt Dog Performance has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Ellen DeGeneres, David Letterman, Nickelodeon, CBS Early Show, Good Day LA, Univision, Animal Planet and much more.

It’s not often that you have a chance to see your dance moves upstaged by a canine but according to Cindy Lee, founding director of the Wags and Menace Foundation, this family-friendly show does it. Everyone walks away in awe. “My favorite part,” she says, “is watching the kids’ reactions to the dogs. Their faces just light up.”

The show is in Telluride, thanks to generous support from Cindy Lee and her non-profit Wags and Menace Foundation. The Wags and Menace Foundation rescues sick animals and supports organizations and activities that educate and support the health of animals.  Lee named the organization after Wags and Menace, two dogs she rescued. “When I first got them, they were sick and malnourished. But, they went on to become big stars in the animal world.”

Says Heather Rommel, Executive Director of the Palm Theatre, of the collaboration, “The Wags and Menace Foundation is doing incredible work for animals all over Colorado.  The successful partnership we share with Cindy Lee allows us to bring amazing animal shows to the Telluride community while also increasing awareness for organizations that are helping sick and homeless animals.”

Ticket sales from Thursday’s event will be donated to San Miguel County’s animal shelters and rescue organizations. Additionally, Cindy Lee will present a check to Second Chance Humane Society at the conclusion of Thursday’s Extreme Stunt Dog Performance.

Advance tickets for the Extreme Stunt Dog Experience are $16 for children and students and $22 for adults (ticket price will increase by $5 on the day of the event) and can be purchased here or by calling the Palm Theater box office at 970.369.5669. Show starts at 6PM at the Palm.
