The sense of belonging, the feeling of comfort, the familiar kitchen sink and rose-colored antique stove. My bunkhouse sanctuary, the Guadalupes, Lise’s memorial wreath. My own bed, the crackling fire, the melting snow; even the mud feels sweet. How silly we are, we humans. Our emotions and feelings, our perceptions and thoughts. The mind, the body, the heart. The soul and spirit.

Here we are on planet Earth, walking and talking, living and breathing. I can travel the world and see the magic of it all; the Great Mother lives not only in the sparkling seas and the crashing waves of Mexico, but also in the mighty mountains and glimmering snows of Colorado. I feel her embrace wherever I go; the breeze is her breath; the sounds of nature, her voice.

I express my gratitude often because I feel it. I know I am blessed to be alive here in this world of wealth and abundance, in an expanding Universe of unlimited potential and possibility. Stars beckon and moonbeams enchant, sunlight illuminates and rainbows shimmer.
