Justin Townes Earle, the clear-voiced son of Steve Earle, was last in town in February, performing at the historic Sheridan Opera House, the headliner on bill with “special guest” Joe Pug. The evening was a sold-out success and both Joe and Justin were invited to return to town for the Holiday Concert Series at the historic venue. Joe performed Tuesday, December 27; Justin’s concert is Thursday, December 29. Show time is 8 p.m.

Since the release of The Good Life in early 2008, Justin has been one busy man, performing at venues ranging from the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Fest to the Chicago Country Music Festival, Americana Music Awards, Down Home in Norway and the Grand Ole Opry. He has played in the UK, Australia and Scandinavia too.

Midnight at the Movies was released March 3, 2009. Months later Justin would earn the New and Emerging Artist of the Year at the 8th Annual Americana Music Awards.
