06 Dec CHORAL SOCIETY PRESENTS WINTERSING 2011
The holiday season in Telluride this year will miss baby ballerinas gracing the Palm stage in “The Nutcracker,” generally speaking, a sine qua non at mistletoe time. (Although the Telluride Dance Academy is performing “Winter Wonderland” at The Palm.) And here’s more good news: Main Street is all tarted up with lights and balls and wreaths and the Telluride Choral Society‘s annual WinterSing, the 18th in a row, guarantees you will have yourself a nostalgic little Christmas.
WinterSing 2011 features the chestnuts from “Rudolph” to Rutter in a program entitled “A Sleigh-ride through Time.” Join the Choristers, Omni Voce, Emanon, Chorale, Chamber Singers, and the Jewel Tones to celebrate familiar sounds of the season at Christ Church, Friday, December 9, 7 p.m. and December 11, 3 p.m. An additional performance at the Wright Opera House in Ouray is scheduled for Sunday, December 18, 2 p.m.
