kicker: Potluck luncheon features regional produce and meats
Telluride’s Christ Presbyterian Church is shouting “May Day.” No, not a cry of distress. A cry of joy.
Reverend Pat Bailey has declared May 1 a day to celebrate the earth and all the living creatures that sustain our lives. On Saturday, members of his congregation pick up produce and meats contributed by regional CSAs (Consumer Supported Agriculture), organic farms and ranches to prepare for a post-service luncheon, which also features reusable containers, utensils, napkins, etc.
The luncheon is also meant to highlight the church’s involvement in The New Community Coalition’s EcoAction and Green Business initiatives.
