16 Feb THE PEAKS RESORT AND SPA DONATES TO HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
After major remodeling and renovations at the Peaks Resort and Spa, the iconic Telluride hotel donated major surpluses of furniture, linens and appliances to the humanitarian organization Habitat for Humanity in Montrose, Colorado this week.
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit housing organization which builds simple, decent, affordable housing in partnership with people in need.
"We are certainly grateful for the Peaks generosity," said Laura Jordan of Habitat for Humanity. "This donation couldn't come at a better time as our inventory is quite low currently."
Over three truck loads of goods were delivered this week to Habitat, with more to arrive later. Items donated include 48 televisions, over a dozen king size mattresses and box springs, over 100 chairs, door frames, desks, tables and night stands.
The Peaks recently donated TV's and mattresses to the Telluride and Mountain Village Owners Association to assist residents affected by the burst pipes in Village Court Apartments.
