Last week it was cashmere queen Minnie Rose. This week for Fashion Friday, Telluride’s Two Skirts is focusing on accessories by Los Angeles designer Cynthia Vincent: her 2011 line of Spring shoes and handbags.
Cynthia began her love affair with fashion at the early age of six. The designer went on to study at Otis Art Institute and Parsons School of Design on scholarship. After graduating with a Silver Thimble Award, the fashion world took notice: Cynthia was recruited by a handful of prestigious design houses including Harriet Selwyn before launching her first company, St. Vincent, in 1993.
The Cynthia Vincent shoe collection was created in 2005. Just like her clothing line, Vincent’s heels, gladiators and ballerina flats became overnight collectibles. Scarlett Johanson, Nicole Ritchie and Liv Tyler are just a few of Vincent’s biggest fans. In 2009, the Cynthia Vincent handbag collection was born, turning Cynthia Vincent into one of the hottest lifestyle collections on the market today.
