19 Sep Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, 2010.09.17
It’s Saturday at Blues & Brews. Thursday was a cool jumpstart and Friday was awesome – honestly some of the best blues guitar playing I’ve ever heard. From smooth opener Matt Schofield to "bad boy" George Thorogood’s closing act – and I can’t forget Dana Fuchs, Ronnie Baker Brooks or Jimmie Vaughn – the park rocked and the wolves howled. And then came Saturday…brew tasting, harmonicas, accordions, zydeco and Mofro, followed by Galactic, Cyril Neville and Trucks/Tedeschi. What can I say?
Everyone agrees that this is the best Blues & Brews weather EVER! The colors are dazzling, the skies deep, deep blue and the tunes are transcendental. Smiles and good vibes are everywhere, it’s HOT!!! I’m having a great time and can’t wait to see the beauty and heart manana por la manana. It’s morning gospel music with Otis Taylor in the open-air valley Temple of Telluride. Vaya con Dios and enjoy the show!
