 In the videos that Ted Hoff of Cottonwood Ranch and Kennel has provided for Telluride Inside… and Out we have often seen Ted using older dogs, dogs with more training to make a point with the dog he is working. However, in this week's video Ted is telling us (possibly with his tongue firmly planted in his cheek) that this dog is getting his training watching himself in a video of his own training session.

I suspect Ted is pulling our collective legs a bit here, but it's hard to argue with the attention Rex is paying to the screen. You tell me- do dogs have self-awareness? Is Rex saying,"We got a lot done in that training session, but I could have been paying more attention a few times there?"

In any case, we know that Ted believes in patterning on more experienced dogs in his training methodology. Makes perfect sense to me.
