Rainbow, Telluride, 7:52 pm, August 16, 2010

Kimm Viebrock describes posts like this as "pebbles" or "sand". Telluride's summer rainbows have to be seen to be believed. I looked up from my computer long enough to see this double rainbow, grab the camera and shoot from our bedroom window. The photo can't duplicate the real thing, but it will have to serve. All the light was in the high country surrounding Telluride, leaving the valley floor in twilight.

Quite obviously the pot of gold lies just beyond our house…
