Dog's Best Friend: 7 month old retreiver training

In this week's video, Ted Hoff of Cottonwood Ranch and Kennel shows us an obedience training session with Drake, his young Yellow Labrador Retriever. At seven months old, Drake is expected to make some mistakes. Repetition to teach the right response, patience when the inevitable miss happens, and praise for correct response, make for a successful training session and a happy pup. Though this is serious training, Drake's tail never stops wagging. It's a pleasure to watch Ted working with his dogs.
