May marks the end of the spring off-season and the beginning of yet another calendar-filled summer season. Please take note of the transportation changes that will occur at the end of the month. Moreover, the opening of the gondola signifies the official opening of Mountain Village's various hiking and biking trails. noon: Telluride Airport Authority Meeting, Telluride Airport

May 22, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Household Hazardous Material Disposal, Middle/High School lot, Telluride

Acceptable items include household batteries, paint, stain, varnish, solvents, mercury (CFLs and fluorescent tubes, thermometers, thermostats, ballasts), acid, automotive fluids (gas, oil, antifreeze), fertilizer, pesticide, poison, herbicide, fungicide, pool chemicals, photo chemicals, cleaning products, drain openers, aerosols and adhesives.

Unacceptable items include unpackaged materials, paint buckets with tools or rags inside, radioactive material, smoke detectors, tires, car batteries, explosives/shock sensitive materials, ammo, gas/propane cylinders, biohazard, needles, medical waste, and DEA regulated medicines.

May 27:

7 a.m.: GONDOLA OPENS, Dial-A-Ride Taxi Service resumes, Bus Schedule Change, Upper Mountain Village Boulevard On-Street Parking Ends for Village Center Employees
