Visible Planets: Morning: Jupiter  Evening: Venus, Mars and Saturn

Wonder Woman, the Lord of Chaos and the Lord of Karma

WonderWoman I’ve run in to several people lately who’ve asked me if I know what’s going on. “Is this stuff astrological?” and “What’s happening with the planets?” are two questions that I've heard recently. As usual, astrologers always have explanations for “what’s going on.” Real or unreal, virtual or actual, relevant or irrelevant, astrology contains an inherent alchemy that correlates naturally occurring celestial phenomena with events and experiences taking place right here, right now. As above, so below – the ancient esoteric dictum of Hermes Trismegistus, father of medicine and magic, author of antiquity’s fabled Emerald Tablet – says it all.

Of course, everyone’s referring to these wild and crazy times. From the global economic whack-job to the oil rig tragedy in the Gulf of Mexico to the apparent ineptitude of big business and the stagnation, red tape and partisanship of government, we are held hostage in a multi-faceted, multi-national war of power and special interest. As synthetic and natural worlds crash and collide, the inevitability of our effect upon the Earth’s ecosystems is everywhere. Shrinking polar ice caps, vanishing wildlife, polluted oceans and disappearing habitats are just a few examples of humanity’s grasp upon the planet. Not even Superman or Wonder Woman can save us from ourselves.

Our solar system and Milky Way Galaxy are small compared to the billions of whirling star systems in our Universe. We are relatively insignificant in the larger scheme of things. And, yet, life here on Earth is all we know, all we have and all that really matters while we’re on it. Unless, of course, extra-terrestrials show up when our home planet lines up with the Galactic Center on Winter Solstice 2012. Then, as per the brilliant astrophysicist, Stephen Hawking, it might not work out so well for us – sort of like the Native American Indians and the arrival of Christopher Columbus in 1492.

SeaVolcano But, getting back to the natural science of astrology. What’s going on? What planetary phenomena constellates all this stress and strife, uncertainty and instability, exploding volcanoes and expanding oil slicks? In a nutshell, there is a long term, ongoing opposition between earth-shattering, explosive planet Uranus – ancient Lord of Chaos – and stoic, controlling, status-quo planet Saturn – Lord of Karma. Then throw in a square from secretive, seething, power-hungry planet Pluto – Lord of the Underworld – and a conjunction to Uranus by gargantuan, over-the-top planet Jupiter – Lord of Lords and King of Kings.

Translation: The forces in power don’t want to let go, but conventionally established systems and governments no longer work. As a result, they are breaking down, being exposed and blown apart. The individual human is awakening to truth amidst the chaos. We can suddenly see the bigger picture. We realize we are no longer "alone" but an interconnected web of life and interdependence. What we do on a daily basis effects the world at large. It's time to take action for positive change. We must rally our forces, gather our strength and do whatever we can every moment of every day to make this planet a better place to live, eat, breathe and, ultimately, survive. Recycle, pick up trash, grow a garden, plant a tree. Join a support group, champion a cause, write a letter, make a call, associate with people working for the good of all concerned. Do the next right thing. And hope and pray and wish for good luck, guidance and assistance from the angelic realms, divine forces and spiritual sources. Heaven help us – we need all the help we can get! Amen.

Aries (Mar. 21-Apr.19)
The May 27th Full Moon illuminates the imperative of radical change in your personal, social and professional realms. Uranus, the mythic God of Chaos and planet most associated with revolutionary events, enters your sign as the lunation peaks, shining light on every facet of your being. Awareness and truth are allies. Open your heart and become willing.

Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)
You may experience a powerful spiritual awakening or epiphany this week as synchronistic events and messages align you with the sacred and divine. Pay attention to feelings and intuition. Accept your life as it is today and simply do the next right thing. Ask for assistance and guidance from angelic realms and invisible forces. Be open and willing to change.

Gemini (May 21-June 21)
Uranus and Jupiter move closer to conjunction in fiery Aries, as the Moon grows full. Progressive and confrontational energies intensify regarding personal and shared hopes, dreams and wishes. Friends and associates excite and awaken you to change, consider a different perspective or an uncharted path. For now, keep it simple and do the work.

Cancer (June 22-July 22)
Full Moons are forever significant for Moonchildren and this one is no different. Pay attention to the subtle signs and messages that come to you via feelings and vibrations. Intuit the energy of a person, place or thing before jumping in the ring or lashing out. There are always deeper issues at work beneath the exterior event or façade. Stay in the light.

Leo (July 23-Aug.22)
This week delivers endings and beginnings, death and rebirth to the Lion. Remove yourself from fear and focus on love. Life is an ever-evolving wheel and it’s wise to live it one day at a time. The future is made in the present and it’s what you do now that matters. Dwelling on the past or speculating about what might be wastes time and energy. Be present.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22)
Jupiter and Uranus together in late Pisces reverberates awakening, faith and hope throughout the Universe. Questions of partnership and commitment remain, but isn’t it better to focus on the relationship you're having with yourself and the God of your understanding? Surrendering problems and all things, people and places you cannot control to a Higher Power works wonders. Accept what is, as it is, and enjoy the miracles.

Libra (Sep. 23-Oct.22)
Manipulation and control are experienced via subtle acts and hidden desires of most humans. We do the best we can to experience peace, joy and love in life, but, alas, we sometimes fail. Accepting sorrow and suffering with happiness and comfort is the only way to go. Balance is the key. Cultivate healthy boundaries and, remember, change is constant.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
Personal habits and behavior patterns have put you in the place you are today. Have you been having too much fun or not enough? Whatever the answer, recognize the powerful connection between character and destiny. Are you living with clarity, honesty and serenity or illusion, chaos and denial? Radical change is on the way. Do the next right thing.

Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20)
A Gemini/Sag Full Moon illuminates your personal role and responsibilities in relationships. Are you showing up for others, and are they showing up for you? Are you/they sharing or withholding? Major awakenings and expansion continue regarding self and others. Cultivate compassion and kindness as you take the high road and follow the light.

Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19)
Ongoing transformation continues as spirits gather and angels sing songs of awakening. Listen to the messages on the wind and in the cosmos. It wasn’t that long ago you considered only the material and tangible real.  Now you know different. Energy, emotions and ideas are powerful forces that carve and shape our world. Embrace the magic and live the dream.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
The Gemini zodiac month plays with spirit and awakens the heart to love and laughter, fun and frolic. Tap in to the unlimited well of joy and happiness that fuels the fires of creative desire. Understand your own basic goodness and let it emerge amidst the chaos and drama of our 3D world. Share quality time with friends and live in the present. Be here now.

Pisces (Feb. 19-Mar. 20)
The cosmic dance of awakening and expansion continues this week as magnanimous Jupiter and revolutionary Uranus join force in late Pisces and early Aries. Change is inevitable and the new territory upon which you are traveling is exciting, new and different. Embrace the wisdom of uncertainty and the multi-faceted opportunities of the unknown.
